NRMLA Launches “Aggressive” Reverse Mortgage Public Affairs Campaign

As a consumer-facing resource to help reverse mortgage borrowers as well as lenders throughout the industry, the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association has announced the launch of a communications campaign including new messaging and marketing materials through its website and in print.

“For those of you who are tired about reading misperceptions…we have a tool for you,” said NRMLA Communications Director Marty Bell before attendees of NRMLA’s annual convention in Boston this week. “This is an aggressive public affairs campaign.”

Coined “Borrow With Confidence,” the campaign will roll out in the coming days and weeks.

The association responds to every negative story about reverse mortgages, no matter where in the country, Bell said, but this new website and messaging campaign will provide a proactive approach to generating accurate and thorough information about reverse mortgages.

Bell urged the participation of all members in using the campaign and sharing it with borrowers.

A booklet with large print type is available online as well as in hard copy form in addition to a new website that houses a lender locator, including brokers.

The new site will be found at when it launches over the course of the next ten days.
