New Tool Helps Mortgage Lenders With Compliance on Facebook

Small and medium-sized financial services companies now have a friend in Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) via a new collaboration that aims to help them stay compliant with their digital marketing campaigns.

In collaboration with Facebook’s Global Vertical Strategy Team, DigitalGroundUp has created a series of courses to educate small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the financial services industry, the company announced this week at the Marketing Association of Credit Union Annual Conference in San Diego.

Founded in 2012, DigitalGroundUp utilizes an interactive platform to teach digital marketing through online courses, covering topics such as Facebook advertising, search advertising, display advertising, SEO and site analytics.

The company has tailored its proprietary courses to specifically address social media and paid advertising challenges companies face within the highly regulated financial services industry.

“Small businesses in financial services need an online presence, and I’m thrilled DigitalGroupUp can provide courses to help SMBs conquer Facebook fan Pages, advertising and more,” stated DigitalGroundUp Founder and President Reva Minkoff. “Our collaboration with Facebook will provide education and support for financial services to comply with regulations and grow their social following.”

At launch, DigitalGroundUp and Facebook will provide courses on topics including cost-per-click bidding, A/B testing, regulations for advertising financial services, ad targeting, driving mobile adoption via Facebook and more, with additional courses added on a regular basis, the companies said.

Both companies, as part of the collaboration, will also be available to call upon for any industry-specific questions users might have.

“At Facebook, we strive to deliver exceptional resources and customer service for our businesses of all sizes,” stated Neil Hiltz, head of global financial services strategy for Facebook. “Through our collaboration with DigitalGroundUp, we can help financial service SMBs achieve success on Facebook.”
