This week Lender Lead Solutions announced enhancements to LLS University (LLSU), the company’s comprehensive training program designed to give brokers essential knowledge needed for operating a reverse mortgage business.
“As the nation’s third largest reverse mortgage lender, Lender Lead Solutions is dedicated to bringing innovative courses and education to the reverse mortgage industry,” said David Peskin, chief executive officer of Lender Lead Solutions. “Whether a broker is transitioning from the forward mortgage market or has an already established reverse mortgage business, LLS University has a training platform that can take them to the next level. This includes tips on how to recruit the right people and overcome common challenges that hinder success.”
The new training courses will include the following topics:
- Reverse Mortgage 101 – an introductory course geared toward new brokers entering the industry;
- Selling Over the Phone – a course in best practices of originating reverse mortgage loans over the phone;
- Executive Training – a course designed to assist business owners and executives grow and better manage their reverse mortgage business;
- Processing Training – a course designed to educate operational managers and staff on how to set up a successful reverse mortgage operation.
Typically wholesalers only allow approved brokers access to training materials but LLS is taking a different approach. When I asked Jean Noble, Executive VP of LLS, if the materials would only be available to approved LLS brokers she said, “LLSU is open to any mortgage company that is looking to increase or create a footprint within the reverse mortgage industry. We are committing ourselves to offering education and best practices to help all companies to ensure that the consumer experience is a positive and educational one.”
Brokers who enroll in the new LLSU courses will automatically receive free access to the LLSU Web site. The Web site’s premium content provides a variety of educational content including sales coaching materials and access to monthly webinars.
