FHA Seeks Comment On Loan Insurance Revisions

The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) is seeking feedback on a proposed revision to amend the application for FHA insured mortgages.

The Federal Register notice provides proposed revisions to Form HUD 92900-A.

Proposed revisions to language in the form are meant to differentiate between the initial and final Uniform Residential Loan Application; revise mortgagee certification on debarment and suspension to be loan specific; and remove references to handbooks no longer in use by Single Family Housing, the FHA says in a statement.

In addition, the proposal aims to update language regarding acceptable sources of funds and update terminology to reflect new Handbook 4000.1.; among other actions.

Public comments are due by July 14, 2015. A draft of the formatted proposed revisions is also available on FHA’s Single Family Drafting Table web page.
