Stocks trim losses after positive housing reports

Stocks remained stuck in the red Thursday amid jitters about Federal Reserve policy, but the markets bounced off their lows following a better-than-expected housing report.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 28.8 points, or .15%, to 15284. The S&P 500 dropped 6.7 points, or .4%, to 1649.
