A foreclosure auction of Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village, the massive Manhattan apartment complex that may be worth less than half what it was just three years ago, was adjourned on Monday without explanation, until October 13.
CWCapital, which represents the bondholders owning the $3 billion mortgage on the property, declined to give a reason why the auction was delayed.
The auction was to occur at U.S. District Court in Manhattan. However, a trustee opened and then adjourned the procedure. Only CWCapital attorneys and a few news reporters were present.
