Second recession hangs on European currency issues

The United States has little real exposure to the European economic crisis, but problems in Europe could send America into another recession if there is a “disorderly collapse of the single currency and multiple sovereign debt defaults,” Capital Economics said in a report Wednesday. 

Capital Economics believes U.S. gross domestic product growth will be 0.5 percentage points lower this year.
