Homebuilders, along with real estate investment trusts, are flocking to the public markets to raise capital as the housing market shows signs of recovery, The Wall Street Journal reports
WCI Communities Inc., a Bonita Springs, Fla. builder that was badly burnt by the housing downturn and went through a painful restructuring before emerging as a slimmer, more focused company, is the latest builder to announce plans to go public.
