Dykema hires two attorneys for financial services practice in DC

Bankruptcy and consumer finance law firm Dykema hired two attorneys for its financial services regulatory and compliance practice in Washington. The firm announced that Haydn Richards and Heather Hutchings will be serving as senior counsel.

Both attorneys previously worked at Patton Boggs in the nation’s capital.

Hutchings is experienced in helping clients deal with compliance matters associated with the Dodd-Frank Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. Hutchings is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and received a J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law.

Richards advises clients on state and federal regulatory matters and compliance. He is involved in the testing and development stages of the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry and has discussed both systems at the NMLS User Conferences.
