Bank of America shares topped $10 for the first time since July 2011

In a MarketWatch article, Bank of America (BAC) shares rose more than 5% and topped $10 for the first time since July 2011. 

The stock has traded more than 300 million shares during the session, which is more than twice the stock’s average volume over the last 30 days. 

Citigroup (C) shares also rose more than 7% after the firm unveiled a plan to cut 11,00 jobs and trim costs.
