Before getting to a discussion of things that matter, I thought this was interesting: News came out yesterday — most of you probably saw it by now — that the maddeningly upbeat economist David Lereah is on his way out of his post at the National Association of Realtors. Rich Toscano had some interesting thoughts about this earlier yesterday (hat tip to Doomer John), saying that the NAR probably got tired of his “disinformation.” Of course, it’s just speculation on Toscano’s part, but I have to agree that the timing of his departure seems to speak much more than any rosy words proferred up by either the NAR or Lereah himself in a press release.
