Guardian Investment Banking and Real Estate hired bank portfolio advisory veteran Hernan Magariños to work in the New York office.
Formerly a Director at KPMG Corporate Finance, Magariños specializes in asset analysis, portfolio valuation, and closing negotiations.
Magariños assisted clients on the sale and acquisition of dozens of bank loan portfolios with an aggregate value totaling more than $20 billion. He worked primarily on the dispositions of commercial and residential mortgages, C&I loans, structured notes, unsecured loans and REO portfolios.

My background and experience in providing sell-side and buy-side assistance on portfolio transactions will add new perspective and depth to Guardian’s already proven process.”
Before becoming a Director at KPMG Corporate Finance, Magariños was the Americas leader of Price Waterhouse Coopers distressed debt group.
