California program pays mortgages for unemployed

As the nation gears towards what many believe could be a fiscal cliff and another recession, Debra Gruszecki with The Press-Enterprise out of Riverside, Calif., is covering a well-hidden California program that covers mortgage payments for homeowners who lose their unemployment benefits.

The Keep Your Home California program offers up to $3,000 in mortgage assistance each month for up to nine months when homeowners lose their jobs and run out of unemployment assistance.
