Delton de Armas, former chief financial officer for the now defunct Taylor, Bean & Whitaker Mortgage Corp., is scheduled to appear for a plea hearing in federal court next week.

A spokesperson for the United States Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of Virginia confirmed the hearing Wednesday. It’s unknown what type of charges de Armas faces in federal court. Bloomberg News noted the upcoming hearing is linked to a criminal case.

Taylor, Bean & Whitaker was the subject of another federal investigation that resulted in a court sentencing the former chairman of the Florida firm, Lee Farkas, to 30 years in prison for orchestrating a $2.9 billion mortgage fraud scheme.
