Paulson & Co. was bullish on mortgage insurers in the first quarter of 2013, tripling the number of shares it held in Radian Group (RDN) and reporting a new equity stake in MGIC Investment Group (MTG). 

Paulson also bulked up on shares it held in Redwood Trust (RWT) as well as Starwood Property Trust (STWD).
