Green River Capital, a Utah-based REO asset management and loss mitigation provider for mortgage servicers, investment firms and banks, promoted Stephen Sherman to chief operating officer for its GR Financial and Infinity Valuation Services units. Green Capital previously didn’t have an operating chief overseeing the sister companies. Sherman brings more than 20 years of experience in the servicing, secondary market, consulting and REO industries to the position. As COO, he will lead operations of GRF, the firm’s short-sale program provider, and IVS, the group’s broker-price-opinion company. Sherman joined Green River Capital in 2008, holding several senior level management positions within the company. Most recently, he was senior vice president, supervising GRF short-sale and deed-in-lieu services, as well as IVS services including BPO appraisals and desktop reviews. Prior to GRC, Sherman held executive positions at GMAC’s Residential Funding Corp., Bank of America, Metmor Financial and Aames Home Loans. Write to Kerry Curry.
