Peter James Porcelli II, who operated Silverstone Lending LLC in Clearwater, Fla., was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for mail fraud. Porcelli pleaded guilty to the charge last April. On top of the sentence, Porcelli will have to repay the $1.8 million prosecutors say he swindled from homeowners. Porcelli, a licensed mortgage lender, would mail fliers to homeowners for what he claimed was a nonprofit company called Safe Harbour Foundation that would help distressed owners keep their property.
