Gross purchases of agency mortgage-backed securities hit $17.1 billion from March 21 through March 27, down from $17.6 billion last week.

Meanwhile, no sales of agency MBS were conducted this week, while net purchases of MBS totaled $17.1 billion for the same time period, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
