Reverse mortgage industry veteran Kenneth Austin has joined Wendover consulting as Managing Director for Loan Administration. Formerly a president of reverse mortgage servicing company Reverse Mortgage Solutions, Austin brings many years of experience to his new post at Wendover.
Austin’s former counseling clients comprise all aspects of the reverse mortgage cycle from investment banks to originating lenders and servicers. Additionally, Austin was a founding partner of Wendover Funding, Inc., which became one of the first reverse mortgage lenders to provide training, secondary marketing and correspondent programs. In the 1990s after the program’s inception, Wendover’s servicing portfolio was one of the largest in the industry. Austin founded the company with Jeff Taylor, who is now president of Wendover Consulting.
“I am excited to have a chance to work with Ken again and his loan servicing expertise brings a huge dynamic to our company,” said Taylor. “Our Wendover Funding days were very special as we pioneered many of the features of the HECM program today.”
In addition to reverse mortgage servicing operations, Greensboro, N.C.-based Wendover Consulting provides business development, relationship development, and expert witness services.
