Walter Investment Management Corp. reported a net loss of $22.1 million, or 73 cents a share, for 2012, compared to a net loss of $66.4 million, or $2.41 a share, in 2011.
For the fourth quarter of 2012, the company’s net loss was $34.4 million, or 98 cents a share, compared to a net loss of $3.9 million, or 14 cents a share, in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Results for 2012 were impacted by a charge of $48.6 million, reflecting a loss when the company paid back debt early, a statement said.
