SunTrust Banks (STI) named Jerome Lienhard chief executive officer and president of SunTrust Mortgage this week. Lienhard, who joined the company five years ago as treasurer, most recently served as SunTrust Banks as executive vice president of strategic finance and administration. Prior to joining SunTrust, Lienhard was treasurer of Freddie Mac and corporate treasury manager at Toyota Motor Credit Corp. Lienhard replaces Sterling Edmunds Jr. who moves to executive vice president of national sales and production manager at SunTrust. In his new role, Lienhard will oversee SunTrust Mortgage’s retail, correspondent, wholesale, consumer direct and consumer banking cross sell channels.
