Hope LoanPort has found a way to give servicers more data to assist them in their efforts to save troubled homeowners through a strategic partnership with First American Title Insurance Co.’s mortgage services division.
Based in Washington D.C., the nonprofit claims its alliance with First American Title gives servicers access to quality property data that covers everything from liens to property valuations on individual homes.
“Servicers today are seeking to maximize home retention. Having quick access to complete, accurate information simplifies the review process and facilitates better communication with their customers,” said Eric Friedman, chief operating officer for First American Mortgage Services’ default segment.
Hope LoanPort is a web portal designed to provide parties handling the default process access to critical information. The information provided can be used to prevent foreclosures by giving all of the parties the data needed to craft the best loss mitigation solutions.
