In an San Antonio Business Journal article, national homebuilders are seeing the cash roll in on mortgage lending as margins continue to widen by federal efforts to lower borrowing costs.

For example, PulteGroup Inc. (PHM) reported its mortgage revenue increased 70% in the third quarter, which is almost six times the gain from home sales.
