Florida will give out $60 million in mortgage help as part of the national $25 billion foreclosure-abuse settlement, Attorney General Pam Bondi said.
“Floridians will now benefit from millions in down payment assistance, housing counseling, legal aid and better funded courts for foreclosure-related issues,” Bondi said in a statement.
The Legislative Budget Commission approved Bondi’s proposal to distribute the funds with the bulk — $35 million — to go for down payment help.
