New Forum for Reverse Mortgage Underwriters Launched

NewImage.jpgLandmark Reverse is rolling out a web based forum for DE underwriters and senior management to discuss issues impacting the reverse mortgage industry.

According to the company, the forum has been in beta mode for the last month and has at least a dozen underwriters who already participating.  Members are discussing a range of topics from AMC licensing, compliance, appraisal issues, fraud and more.

“Landmark’s forum will provide a great resource for DE underwriters and credit managers from different companies to communicate with Landmark and with each other to share knowledge and experience,” said David Entrekin, Senior Underwriter and Credit Manager for Security One Lending.  “This collaboration will help underwriters stay abreast of industry trends and manage risk, particularly as it pertains to appraisals and appraisal management companies.”

The DE Forum is the second in a series of products and services geared toward the underwriting community released by Landmark. The company released its Underwriter Support Desk earlier this summer to offer an efficient platform for requesting data, explanations and appraisal revisions on appraisals. “The support desk has resulted in an expedited loan process for wholesale lenders while increasing broker satisfaction,” said Landmark.
