M*A*S*H Star Wayne Rogers to Become New Reverse Mortgage Spokesman

Wayne Rogers, known for his acting role as Trapper John from the long-running TV series M.A.S.H., has signed on to a national reverse mortgage ad campaign representing Senior Home Loans, a division of Continental Home Loans.

The Melville, New York-based mortgage banker announced the signing of Rogers this week.

“We believe that Wayne Rogers’ varied life experiences will bring an additional level of creditability to the reverse mortgage market and are very excited to have Rogers represent our firm,” the company said in a press release.

In addition to an acting career in TV and on stage, Rogers also has made a second career as a financial advisor and money manager and has appeared on Fox News as a commentator and analyst.

“I am excited to be a part of the SHL family and help deliver the message that the reverse mortgage product is a viable and responsible product that should be considered as part of the financial plan of any senior homeowner,” Rogers said.

SHL operates a call center business based from its Long Island, New York headquarters and says the national campaign with Rogers will help the company to further expand its operations to 50 loan officers. It is currently doing business in 19 states.

Additionally, the company is developing a wholesale channel for reverse mortgages and is actively hiring for both retail and wholesale.

The national campaign is led by Jason Levy, whose past experience includes managing the Robert Wagner reverse mortgage campaign under a number of lenders.
