ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions, a provider of reverse mortgage counseling, has completed a merger with Consumer Credit Counseling Service of New York and will continue to operate under the ClearPoint name.
“We’ve brought together two organizations who share the mission of promoting consumer health through financial education,” said Chris Honenberger, ClearPoint CEO and president. “The merger allows us to pool our resources, strengthen our infrastructure and better serve consumers.”
ClearPoint, which previously offered housing counseling in several states, has expanded its branch presence as a result of the merger, and will now operate in 12 states, including New York.
The counseling agency is approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and offers housing counseling including reverse mortgage counseling face-to-face, over the phone and via the Internet.
