As credit unions continue to increase their presence in the mortgage origination space, credit union servicer Clarity Member Services announced it has implemented MortgageFlex Systems’ LoanQuest loan origination system (LOS). Clarity, a division of Keyport, N.J.-based United Community Mortgage, originates conventional and government mortgages in all 50 states, acting as a service provider for credit unions. Credit unions originated 38.8% more first-lien mortgages in Q209 compared to Q208, according to Callahan & Associates’ First Look Program market research. Clarity offers mortgage products to credit unions to sell to their members. Jacksonville, Fla.-based MortgageFlex is a nearly 30-year-old software developer that sells LOS, secondary marketing and servicing software products. Write to Austin Kilgore.
