The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California allowed American International Group (AIG) to proceed with claims that it was fraudulently induced to residential mortgage-backed securities by Bank of America‘s (BAC) division Countrywide. 

As a result, AIG claims the company suffered $10 billion in losses.
