Top-10 reverse mortgage lender American Advisors Group has received accolades as No. 3 in Orange County, California’s best places to work rankings.
In the annual O.C. Top Workplaces survey, compiled by the Orange County Register, AAG won third in the O.C. Top Workplaces large company category. The rankings consider factors including employee satisfaction, company culture, pay & benefits and employee retention.
In addition, AAG President Reza Jahangiri was named a top CEO in Orange County and received a Large Company Leadership Award.
“I am fortunate to work alongside an incredible team that cares deeply about addressing the increasing economic challenges facing our seniors,” Jahangiri said. “Our success is possible because of the hard work and determination of our employees and their commitment to making AAG the best reverse mortgage lender in the U.S.”
The recognition comes on the heels of big growth for AAG, which grew its employee head count by 200 this year, and has grown from 60 employees in 2010 to more than 600 at present.
In its reception of the award, AAG noted employee perks including a retirement savings plan, work-life balance and annual celebrations among its traits that help to retain staff.
AAG has also worked toward diversifying business lines through the addition of a wholesale channel last year and by becoming a Ginnie Mae issuer. The company is involved in philanthropy efforts including support for the Alzheimer’s Association of Orange County and an ongoing service project in Uganda.
