Black Knight: Home prices barely tick higher

Florida and Texas dominate top metros

Home prices slightly ticked higher from last month, increasing 0.1% in November, with the average home price index hitting $241, according Black Knight’s home price index for November.

This is now just 10.1% off the $268 peak in June 2006.

Both Texas and Colorado continue to outperform, with each one hitting new peaks again.

However, the top metro area performers were dominated by Florida and Texas.

San Francisco and San Jose lead all major metros in the nation in terms of year-over-year appreciation, up 11.1% and 11.2% respectively.
On the other side of the spectrum, Baltimore was the worst performing metro area, seeing a -0.8% month-over-month drop in home prices.
