REO brokers are on hold as mortgage servicers and banks sort through new regulations and mortgage documentation to ensure they are ready to move distressed properties to the sales block. In the interim, brokers and brokerage firms are experiencing a lull in new REO inventory. While most brokers are expecting business to pick up during the final quarters of 2011, a lingering sense of uncertainty and insecurity remains.
