TransUnion is one of the major consumer credit reporting agencies in the United States. It collects and aggregates information on a large volume of individual consumers in over thirty countries, including “200 million files profiling nearly every credit-active consumer in the United States,” according to the company.
Founded in 1968, TransUnion is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

FHFA on credit score delivery: forgotten lessons

FHFA is considering various options to change the current system. Any such choice, in the end, is the outcome of a detailed cost-benefit analysis, but while FHFA acknowledges this, they fall short of providing the necessary framework for reaching an informed conclusion.
