Soderstrom brings an incredible amount of domain expertise — having led Compass’ national expansion and growth teams from 2014 to 2017, a critical time in that company’s growth trajectory. He also spent seven years at McKinsey & Company, most recently as an associate partner and co-lead of the firm’s real estate practice, advising brokerage, portal and investor executive teams on strategy and technology development. Soderstrom is a close and trusted adviser to his brokerage customer executive teams and is often on stage as a thought leader at top industry conferences.

What is one thing you would tell a younger version of yourself?

Feel empowered to go and have a swing at the entrepreneurial endeavors early. I spent years in a very structured environment at McKinsey, ostensibly collecting gold stars for my resume, before taking the leap to co-found Courted with some highly talented colleagues.
