As Vice President, Loan Servicing at Movement Mortgage, Ryan Clay’s passion for excellence is unsurpassed. As a leader, he is not afraid of a challenge and always embraces new opportunities, motivating people and is focusing on building strategic partnerships across the organization and industry to support Movement’s customer for life mission.

In his four year tenure with Movement Mortgage, Clay has migrated the company’s servicing team from being a majority released seller to retaining the majority of its mortgage servicing rights (MSR). Instead of relying on a subservicer to manage our core customer facing activities, Movement opted to build an in-house team. Clay has successfully managed the transition across four different subservicers and built state-of-the-art customer experience, subservicer oversight, operations and complaints management teams all focused on continuous growth. His team consistently receives accolades from Movement Mortgage clients and the loan officer community and high recognition from auditors, investors and regulators. 

Clay’s passion for the customer experience is infectious. He has developed a high-performing team of professionals who all adhere to the highest level of customer service standards. They are constantly innovating with new process design and technology to ensure we best serve our customer base. The team is a well-oiled machine and I attribute much of this to Clay’s vision and desire to build a customer experience that differentiates Movement from all others in our industry and beyond. He is supportive, compassionate and focused on lifting up other leaders around him.

What is one habit that has helped you succeed?

It is more a perspective than a habit. Life is very short. Run hard through your career building something special from which others can learn/model, but never fail to LIVE by prioritizing experiences, your mental and physical health, and relationships. I am passionate about being an example for other leaders in my generation!
