Joseph Krall is a principal software engineer with Cloudvirga, a leading provider of digital mortgage point-of-sale platforms. In his role, Krall is responsible for delivering high quality, technically sound solutions based on industry standard best practices and architectural principles. In addition to solution delivery, Krall analyzes processes performed by the technology team to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, scalability and modernization as well as helping to set the tone for the direction the engineers move towards in a continuous improvement model. Krall supports new engineer onboarding, mentoring, oversight and code reviews while resources are in the training period. 

Krall has been directly involved with the development and roll out of Cloudvirga’s industry leading Horizon retail point of sale platform and the new Horizon TPO point of sale platform developed for brokers and wholesale lenders. Over the past 12 months, Krall has been integral in the successful integration of key industry vendors into the Horizon platform, including ICE Mortgage Technology’s pricing engine and Encompass docs solutions and Informative Research’s verification platform. With these crucial integrations with key industry technology providers, Horizon users can significantly streamline the application and approval process for borrowers.

Since joining Cloudvirga in 2019, Krall has taken a lead role on several key client and partner initiatives. He has served as a leader and a mentor for several individuals throughout the organization. A large-scale company initiative Krall took on within the past 12 months was renovating the company’s third-party API layer that could be leveraged to improve the company’s ability to integrate with various solutions across the mortgage ecosystem. This new API layer has improved the company’s integration timeframes by 35%.

When things seem big and daunting, focus on what is in front of you. One step at a time. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
