Dan Vasquez leads the AI Strategy team for Rocket Mortgage and Rocket Companies and has been with the organization for more than a decade. Throughout his tenure at Rocket, Vasquez has built and led teams responsible for bringing to life some of the company’s most premier products including its first fully digital mortgage process in a decade. Dan was at the forefront of developing the strategy and implementation of cloud-first architecture for the organization and is now bringing that same energy and passion to building Rocket into an AI enabled powerhouse.

Throughout his decade with the organization, Dan has overseen teams with as many as 75 people — all working in tandem to accomplish some of the company’s most ambitious technological advancements. As a natural problem solver and lifelong engineer, Vasquez has been instrumental in the organization’s technological transformations over the years — most recently being placed at the helm of its strategy for implementing AI into every aspect of the homeownership journey. With a passion for and experience in product management, Vasquez views challenges as opportunities and approaches them with the framework of agile development — focusing on potential solutions for the end user including Rocket’s team members, clients and partners. Over the last year, under Vasquez’s guidance, AI has helped improve efficiencies for each of these parties, helping homebuyers close on their homes faster and streamlining workflow for partners and team members alike. Today, Vasquez is leading a team of strategists to revolutionize the industry through AI as the company leads the next wave of the technology revolution for homeownership.

What is one thing you would tell a younger version of yourself?

Start a family sooner. We recently welcomed our daughter and it’s been the most amazing experience of my life. The clarity of purpose and mission that comes with parenthood cannot be topped by any professional experience.
