As Chief Revenue Officer of Lima One Capital, Nate Trunfio has led the company to industry-leading originations through a diverse approach. He built a sales organization that includes channel expansion, team growth, salesperson development, geographic expansion and go-to-market strategies. This has empowered Lima One Capital to continue to grow originations under his tenure, despite market headwinds including interest rate hikes and secondary market spreads.

Trunfio joined Lima One Capital in late 2020, and he was promoted to chief revenue officer in 2023. Trunfio has led the maturation of the sales team, including the addition of three new sales channels, commercial real estate, lender finance and wholesale. He doubled the size of Lima One’s sales team while also growing production on a per-person basis, proving how his leadership has enabled existing and tenured salespeople to level up and grow while newer sales reps ramp up their production at a pace faster than previous years. Trunfio is passionate about leadership and is known for creating a positive and motivational sales environment. He balances this motivation with a heavy focus on setting expectations so that the team can be held accountable for succeeding on a personal and team level. This metrics-based approach allows Nate to lead through consistent recognition and appreciation for high performers in any team meeting, and through consistent expectations so that everyone in the sales organization knows where they stand and what success looks like. 

What is one habit that has helped you succeed?

I have a passion for inspiring personal and business growth in myself and others. Being a lifelong learner who seeks continuous and never-ending improvement is truly my “why,” and it’s unequivocally the main reason for my professional success and growth, as well as my team’s.
