Its primary offering is a multi-seller/multi-buyer residential mortgage exchange to connect institutions that buy and sell residential mortgage loans in the secondary mortgage market. Its company mandate involves a desire to “modernize” the processes employed by the U.S. residential mortgage industry.

Originally founded in 2013, Maxex is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
