Multifamily lender Walker & Dunlop (WD) named Michelle Warner and Edward Williams co-heads of all the firm’s Federal Housing Adminstration-related lending. Warner previously served Deutsche Bank (DB) as chief underwriter and program manager for Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, where she oversaw all aspects of the German banking giant’s FHA program from loan structuring to credit risk management and compliance. Williams joined Walker & Dunlop two years ago as vice president of the FHA finance unit and most recently served as deputy chief underwriter. He previously worked with Column Guarantee as an underwriter and AGM Financial Services Inc. as a financial analyst and underwriter. In early July, Walker & Dunlop named Douglas Taylor senior vice president of the multifamily finance division. Taylor previously worked with Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, where he worked in multifamily and commercial loan origination. The company, which maintains preferred lender status with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, is beefing up staff as it expects increased competition in the multifamily lending space this year due to strong rental demand and high levels of available liquidity.
