Senior Lending Network recently announced that its chief executive officer, David Peskin and Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern will be participating with the National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC) to celebrate National Aging in Place Week (October 13 through October 19). Peskin and Legislator Stern will be holding seminars throughout Suffolk County, NY to provide increased awareness for senior independent living.
Legislator Stern will discuss his role in creating the Suffolk County Senior Citizens Task Force which address issues facing older adults including affordable housing, accessible transportation, and an increased need for long-term care services. “National Aging in Place Week is a great time to touch base with senior citizens across Long Island and assist them with many concerns they might have including the cost of living and quality of life, healthcare, transportation and senior housing,” commented Legislator Stern. “I encourage all seniors to join us for this valuable program.”
Peskin will offer insight into Senior Lending Network’s educational program and provide information about reverse mortgages. “In the current economy seniors need to understand their options when it comes to finances and housing. Reverse mortgages are a powerful financial tool that can help seniors in uncertain times. Education is the first step for seniors to be able to live a comfortable retirement in their home,” said Peskin.
