Reverse mortgage industry veteran Rhiannon Behnke is joining Reverse Focus as its new executive vice president and head of its Consulting Services Group.
Since knowing that she had the makings of a reverse mortgage specialist from a young age, Behnke has established herself as a leader in the reverse mortgage industry.
“[She] has built a great reputation for helping others succeed,” says Shannon Hicks, president of Reverse Focus, in a written statement. “This desire to help others is one significant reason this position is a perfect fit for her and us. I am excited to see the impact she will have in reaching lenders not currently in the reverse mortgage space and equipping them with the tools and education that they will need”.
Behnke has more than 18 years of reverse mortgage experience, including a role as head of Security One Lending’s Wholesale Lending Channel prior to its acquisition by Walter Investment Management Corp. (NYSE: WAC). During the past four years she has played a role in Reverse Focus, so the opportunity to assume this new full-time role was a clear choice for her, she says.
“Reverse Focus has created outstanding tools for originators and originating companies and has technology solutions for small to mid-sized reverse companies,” Behnke says. “These turn-key solutions can effectively be applied to new market entrants and enable them to easily build their market presence.”
One of the most exciting segments of the industry is the forward mortgage banker who have thousands of originators that currently pass on the reverse mortgage opportunity, she says, noting that this merging demographic “needs objective advice as it pertains to entering this market place.”
In addition to Behnke’s industry experience, she has coordinated many charitable events at industry conferences while with Security One Lending. These events has have helped many underserved and struggling people who need to be served.
“Reverse Focus plans to continue these events in the future,” the company says.
