Usually held as a freestanding event, this year’s Reverse Mortgage Day of Texas will align with the schedule of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association conference in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, October 16. The event begins at 2:30 pm.
The 11th annual event will be held during a special session of NRMLA’s annual meeting in the San Antonio Hyatt Regency and will maintain a distinct Texas focus.
“With the lending landscape changing almost daily, those attending Reverse Mortgage Day will receive material on everything influencing “Texas” from our HECM for Purchase initiative to the aging demographics of the state to a Q&A session with the top lenders around the state,” said Event Host Scott Norman of Sente Mortgage.
Discussion topics will include an update on the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) Purchase progress in Texas, which is the last state in the country to offer the loan. Additional agenda items include a discussion of Texas demographics with Lloyd Potter of the stat’s demographer’s office.
A separate reverse mortgage panel will include input from Reverse Mortgage Solutions’ Marc Helm, One Reverse Mortgage’s Becky Bell and Genworth’s Peter Klamkin.
A final session will feature a review of reverse mortgages in Texas by the numbers with John Lunde of Reverse Market Insight.
