Generation Mortgage Grows Sales Team with New Hires

Generation Mortgage Company is expanding its sales team with two new personnel additions to its growing wholesale and retail channels.

The company announced Thursday the promotion of Shirlene Nordé to the position of wholesale account executive and the addition of Pacific Regional Manager Sue Winters to the company’s retail sales division.

“At Generation, we are dedicated to expanding our network of wholesale partners and our retail sales team with the ultimate goal of increasing our total business,” said Generation Chief Sales Officer Cheryl MacNally.

As a wholesale account executive, Nordé is responsible for Generation’s network of wholesale partners, a role she assumed after serving as the company’s wholesale corporate trainer for the past year.

In this role, Nordé prepared and facilitated in-person training sessions, live webinars, online courses and instructional materials for Generation’s partners base.

Before Generation, Nordé worked with Vinings Mortgage, one of the company’s wholesale partners, and held the roles of assistant vice president and mortgage loan consultant at SunTrust Mortgage.

Winter’s duties as Pacific regional manager focus on overseeing Generation’s sales activities in eight states, including Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

Before coming to Generation, Winters’ 18 years of mortgage industry experience includes holding branch manager roles at U.S. Bank Home Mortgage, 1st Reverse Mortgage U.S.A. and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where she received numerous Leadership Awards for customer loyalty as well as for recruitment and retention.

Her career also includes time with both national and regional lenders and has involved the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage, traditional mortgage and building industries.

“We are thrilled to have Shirlene take on a new role within our wholesale group, and Sue is the ideal choice to manage our Pacific sales operations—especially given that the area includes several top retirement destinations,” MacNally stated. “Both of these ladies are poised to positively impact our overall loan production, and we look forward to their contributions.”

Generation is a top 10 lender of HECM loans. In January, the company reported a retail and wholesale HECM volume of 381 loans, a 97.4% increase from the previous month, according to a recent report from Reverse Market Insight.
