1st Reverse Mortgage USA Shifts Sales Team Alignment

Top-10 reverse mortgage lender 1st Reverse Mortgage USA announced this week it is realigning its sales team as it aims for future growth.

The company, a division of Cherry Creek Mortgage, recently detailed changes among its management team, and now is focused on shifting sales roles to better prepare for the future, its executives said.

“As a Top-10 industry lender the organizational alignment of our sales team allows us to build upon our momentum and better serve our customers,” said Dan Harder, 1st Reverse Mortgage USA vice president. “The alignment also provides added focus on our core businesses, enabling us to move faster to better capitalize on long-term growth opportunities. We believe this provides us with an immediate competitive advantage in the marketplace.”

The new structure is focused on recruiting reverse mortgage and traditional loan originators as well as developing business channels including correspondent, wholesale, builders, banks and credit unions, the company says.

Among the sales team realignments is the transition of Trish Kauker from corporate training coordinator to corporate accounts business development manager.

Tim Malcolm will serve as southwest regional manager, based in San Antonio, Texas whileSteve Scheiern will serve as western regional manager based in Southern California.

Mark Smith will be tasked with managing and expanding the traditional lending business in all of 1st Reverse Mortgage USA business channels in his role as sales coordinator. He has worked previously in a the company’s retail traditional lending program. 

Finally, Randy Strom is serving as Mountain Plains regional manager, based in Colorado. He has worked previously as a loan officer and account executive within the company and is now responsible for growing the mountain plains region. 

“Our technology and operations platform now fully supports both reverse mortgage and traditional loan originators,” Harder said. “In addition to recruiting reverse mortgage and traditional loan originators; we are actively seeking a reverse mortgage wholesale correspondent sales manager to continue to build the wholesale business channel.”
