Urban Financial of America announced it is expanding its West Coast sales presence through the hire of Tim Pearce as Regional Manager for the Pacific Region. In his role with Urban, Pearce will report to Scott Norman, the company’s national retail sales manager.
“We’re very excited to have Tim on board in the Pacific Region as California continues to post the highest year-to-date reverse mortgage endorsement volumes. His extensive reverse mortgage knowledge, along with his impressive past experience in mortgage sales management, strengthens Urban’s growing retail team,” Norman said.
Based in Visalia, Calif., Pearce brings close to 15 years of mortgage experience including work for MetLife Bank, Security 1 Lending, and Wells Fargo in the San Diego area. He is also a former U.S. Marine.
“I’m honored and passionate about serving homeowners 62 and older in the Pacific Region; the best part of my job is bettering the retirement years of our older Americans,” he said.
Urban has recently ramped up its retail field sales team, and has released a proprietary jumbo reverse mortgage loan product—the only now available since Generation Mortgage’s exit from the business in October 2014.
“The major investments Urban has made in field retail over the past year ensures our long-term goal of becoming a full-service reverse mortgage company focused on building career opportunities and establishing innovative industry standards,” said UFA CEO Steve McClelland.
Toward its growth plans, UFA says it plans to open a California office next year.
