Texas was one of only seven states with a residential foreclosure rate below 1.85% for the third quarter. The Texas Mortgage Bankers Association reported the foreclosure rate on residential mortgages in Texas fell to 1.82% for the third quarter, down from 1.95% in the third quarter of 2009. The national average home foreclosure rate for the most recent quarter stood at 4.39%.
