RMF Ramps Up Hiring Efforts With New Addition to Southeast Division

On the heels of several new personnel additions this week, Reverse Mortgage Funding continues to ramp up its hiring efforts—today announcing that Laura Bihuniak Kennedy joins the company as Southeast regional account manager.

In this role, a position that supports RMF’s third-party origination sales channel, Kennedy will report to National Sales Leader Mark O’Neil, who assumed this role last month.

“Laura is exactly the kind of account manager we are looking to attract and want on our team; she is detail oriented, is an expert with the reverse mortgage product and understands that customer service is paramount,” O’Neil said in a written statement. “Coupled with our industry-leading service and pricing, Laura is a great addition to our team and will be a real asset for our valued clients.”

Kennedy brings 14 years of mortgage experience to RMF, eight of which have been dedicated to reverse mortgages, including servicing, origination, processing, training and operations.

Most recently, she served as regional production manager at Reverse Mortgage Solutions in Atlanta, a top-5 lender according to recent Reverse Market Insight industry data. In this role, Kennedy was responsible for new business development and for calling on existing reverse mortgage brokers and lenders.

Before that, Kennedy was wholesale national account manager with Generation Mortgage Company, where she was involved with inside and outside national sales, and sold reverse mortgage products and services to existing partners as well as new industry entrants including banks, credit unions, correspondent lenders and brokers.

Kennedy’s résumé also included holding the position of broker care manager at Genworth Financial/Liberty and additional work in various customer-facing roles at Financial Freedom, a subsidiary of OneWest Bank/IndyMac Bank.

“I look forward to adding value to Reverse Mortgage Funding’s third-party originations team and leveraging my experience building relationships at multiple-levels and functions to support the company’s growth,” Kennedy said.
