Reverse Mortgage USA today announced it has hired industry veteran Kelly McCabe to join its leadership team.
In her role with Reverse Mortgage USA, currently ranked as the eighth largest originator of reverse mortgages, McCabe will serve as Director of Credit, which encompasses overseeing the Mortgage Banking Division of underwriting and processing.
“Kelly is a real leader,” says John Mitchell, CEO and founder of Reverse Mortgage USA. “A manager will manage a problem, but won’t solve that problem. A leader, however, is very solutions oriented and is looking to figure out how to improve things.”
McCabe brings more than 27 years in the mortgage business including experience in all areas of retail, wholesale and correspondent lending. She has been in the reverse mortgage business since 2000 and has held positions with MetLife’s reverse mortgage division, during which she helped pioneer the company’s “fast-track” processing and underwriting program. McCabe has since held a role with Security One and has most recently been a force in the operational training and liaison with the reverse mortgage for purchase program, during which she has developed ongoing relationships between lenders and home builders. Additionally, she is a DE underwriter.
