RealtyTrac names new CEO

Jamie Moyle will become the new CEO of RealtyTrac, the online foreclosure database and analytics firm.

Moyle joined the company last year as he put together the sale of Homefacts, a consumer due diligence company he founded. RealtyTrac bought Homefacts in April. He also founded an online vacation rental sales retailer SkiWest, which he sold to Overstock.com in 2005.

Moyle will replace Brandon Moore, who took over the CEO spot in November when private equity firm Renovo Capital acquired RealtyTrac.

Moore will stay on as a consultant to the board and focus on the subscription-based services the company provides.

Moyle said he will begin work on making the RealtyTrac website, used for marketing and buying homes, more usable for consumers. The new enhancements will be unveiled in the next few months, he added.

“The acquisition of Homefacts earlier this year provided RealtyTrac with a unique opportunity to increase its capabilities and simultaneously tap into the entrepreneurial experience of Jamie Moyle,” said David Hull, partner at Renovo Capital.
